A handyman with no name, who stays on screen throughout, is sent to tidy a study in a rich couple's mansion. The mansion's lady sets a deadline: her billionaire husband returns within hours, and the room must be spotless by then. The wood-paneled study, with its bookshelves, is the only setting you get.

Among the dust he comes across a gold lamp, and a genie steps out. Over 400 years she has served kings, generals and a bishop who all wished for gold; his own wish is a spotless room. Your Wish Is My Command runs on that mismatch between limitless power and a lead who is almost too decent to use it.

Episode 1

Episode 1 starts the clock. The lady of the house, dressed in a blazer over a black blouse worn open, announces that her husband returns in a few hours, and once she is gone the handyman mutters about her attitude. While cleaning, he finds the lamp.

Out comes a genie, veiled in sheer gold and dressed in jewels, who announces that whatever he wishes, she will make happen. He asks Could you clean the room? and she calls that a waste. After listing four centuries of wealthy wishes, she announces an offer of her own.

Episode 2

Episode 2 has the genie offering anything, in any quantity, while the lamp is his. He politely declines. She whispers that any woman he names can be on his doorstep inside an hour, adding that she has never met a man without a price. His reply: Maybe I don't have one.

Then he admits he does. Told to name it, he asks for the genie herself. Sparkles fill the room, a figure in a navy suit stands facing her in the last frames, and she asks if that is truly his wish. What she has granted, and at what cost, stays unanswered.
